My introduction to the character was also on Superfriends. I thought the concept of a composite human was neat.
My biggest criticism of him, however, was that I thought he was overpowered. It was difficult for me to believe there were any real "threats" to a guy who could rearrange atoms.

Second I saw it, I started digging into who he was, etc. It helped that he was a major character in Crisis and on the Super Friends.
I always wanted his figure as well as Doctor Fate's. I still hold both characters in high regard in part because of those toys.
Amongst the vast galaxy of superheroes, he really stands out.
